Why should I book from your company?

Characters NJ provides a safe, fun, family-friendly environment for children of all ages. It sets itself apart from other company’s because here at Characters NJ, even though we are Adults, we still enjoy being a kid at heart.

How many years has your company been in business?

Are you fully insured?

Yes. Additional details can be provided if needed.

Do you travel to us or do we travel to you?

Our company travels to your event. Please check out our locations page to see if your event requires an additional travel fee.

How do I know which package is best for my party?

Simply just give us a call or email and one of our coordinators will be happy to assist you in determining which will be best for you.

How do deposits work?

Initial deposits are required 7 days or more prior to your event. Due to turning away new clients for the same time booking as your event, all deposits are non-refundable. Any bookings submitted under 7 days will be assessed the full booking charge.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellations must be in writing or email and sent over 7 days prior to the event. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice will be charged the full balance due.

When do you need the final child count?

One week prior to your event is when the final child count needs to be received.

What size space is needed for the event?

Large enough space for expected guests and entertainment. The larger the space, the better.

Do I need adequate parking for the entertainment?

Yes. Please reserve parking for the entertainment and also leave an exit for them as well, so they can be on time and be able to leave on time. The client is responsible to reimburse entertainer for any cost of parking upon arrival

What venues will you entertain at?

We can entertain at all venues. Please check with your venue if they allow outside entertainment before booking with us.

What if guests arrive late?

Once our entertainer arrives at the event, they will be ready to begin. Our entertainers are not required to wait until guests arrive in order to begin their visit. Any late guests are welcome to join upon arrival.

What will characters bring to the parties?

Our party packages vary, please call us for additional details.

Do your entertainer's accept gratuity?

Yes. Just like in a restaurant setting, In the entertainment industry, gratuity’s are encouraged based on performance and service. Percentages are easily based 15% – 20% of total package cost.
